GHISU
Ghisu (62 Years) is basically resident of a very small village located in Sarada Block of Udaipur District. Residing in a remote location where facilities are negligible with poor financial background made him totally blind due to cataract in both eyes. And above that Ghisu is completely deaf as well, which made life extremely difficult for him.One day his life changed completely on the moment he came at the Community Health Centre, Sarada for eye check up in the camp organised by Sarvodaya Manav Seva. As soon as our team saw him we decided to register him in our free cataract surgery operation list. Because we knew that tomorrow is a day for Ghisu to see the beauty of the world. He was brought to Udaipur with other 16 patients who were having cataract. And finally next day he was operated at Jai DRISHTI EYE HOSPITAL, Udaipur. Being a blind he was unable to perform his day to day activities, was totally dependent on others. On next morning of the surgery his son accompanying him saw that Ghisu was climbing stairs towards toilet. He was surprised and very happy to see the magic of the surgery done for his cataract. Now he dont need any helping hands to perform his day to day activities. Neither his son and other relatives need to shout near his ears as he can now see the motions and hints shown to him.
